“Determine that the thing can and shall be done, and then we shall find the way.”
– Abraham Lincoln
The bloods are back. The Endo phones in with the results that my thyroxin is a bit low. No suprises there then. I just feel better knowing that there’s a reason for my lack of lustre and energy, and experience an instant energy boost just knowing that she’s going to up my drugs. I feel better already! That script is going to be a very welcome Christmas present. All I want for Christmas… is to have a metabolism faster than the speed of light and the stamina of an Energiser Bunny! Bring it on!
It’s the annual work Christmas extravaganza tonight. I can’t believe it’s my fourth Christmas party – how time flies when you are having fun! This festive fandango is always packed with fab food, fine wine and lots of fun and frolics. This year, we celebrate at a French-Vietnamese restaurant for a fantastic feast, wine and good times. It’s another cracker of a Christmas party.
After dinner, we all get our gift from Secret Santa. I may not know the identity of my “secret” Santa, but I do know that this person must be smart, generous and an avid reader of my blog! I’m totally stoked with my plethora of prezzies, mini cupcake cases, a massive set of cookie cutters (in a whole selection of shapes and sizes!) and an uber cool “melting” snowman. You just putty him up and watch him “melt!” And then you putty him up again… it’s about the only snowman I’m going to get to make this year as the weather is warming up nicely!
I make a Cinderella-esque exit about 10pm. I’m all out of energy and full of wine. Definitely time to make a hasty retreat!
