I get back in the swing of things and am up with the birds, or even maybe before them! And it’s all for the love of Basic Training. It’s Kathy’s class – so how can I resist? I’m feeling the love, but I’m also feeling the fat, me thinks I’ll have to work extra hard to kill off the extra calories I’ll inevitably consume now that the visitors are here.
I have a bit of an off day at work. Nothing in class seems to gel or turn out quite as I imagine which is a bit soul destroying and frustrating all at the same time. I’m such a control freak I want everything to be perfect all of the time. But it’s not. I realise that’s just how the cookie crumbles. Still there’s always tomorrow!
I pick up some supplies and head home to cook the repast. The outlaws are quite the kitchen challenge as David’s mum doesn’t eat red meat, and Bryan doesn’t like wet food (in sauce) and neither of them are hot on very spicy dishes(excuse the pun!) so I’m going to have to think, and cook, outside the box. At least, it will give me an excellent excuse to expand my repetoire.
Tonight we have Oven Baked Fish Fillets with (relatively) healthy oven chips and our favourite Ultimate Greek Salad. We finish off our fresh and fishy feast with Perfect Crepes and ice cream. Yum!
I finally get my blood test results showing my thyroxin levels which the Endo says are perfectly normal. I find this hard to believe as I feel anything but. Still, she’s the doctor so she gets the benefit of the doubt! In the meantime, I’m going to work hard at eating right, fighting fit and sleeping well. I’ve started a food diary and am also logging exercise and hours of sleep so at least I’ll have some hard evidence to back up my beliefs when I go back to see her in a couple of weeks. That being said, I’m starting as I mean to go on and am off to get some quality zzzs. Early to bed and early to rise!
