These days my inbox is inundated with updates and offers from those discount voucher outfits and random promotional material. I don’t really care for all that stuff but I so hate to miss out on a bargain, and besides, all that junk allows me to appreciate real mail all the more!
So today, I’m in for a real treat. First off, Sim and Leah from Lolli Redini come up trumps, not only spilling the beans on how to source that mini madeline tray, but also sharing the recipe for those beautiful, buttery Lolli Redini Mini Madelines. Now I can enjoy a little taste of Orange at home… that’s something to look forward to.
But that’s not all, there’s also news from Betty, editor of BBC Australian Good Food magazine. I wrote to her a while back because there is no place in cyber space for all the BBC Australian Good Food recipes, only English ones. Some of the Aussie only recipes are completely corking so it’s a little sad they don’t enjoy global exposure. Betty says this is because of technicalities in the arrangement between UK and Australian BBC Good Food. I guess there’s a whole lot of red tape round the kitchen!
Dinner needs to be fast and fabulous tonight… I’m pooped. It’s Thermomix to the rescue. I try out my first pasta dish; Olive Tuna Pasta a la Thermie, and I’m not disappointed. The mess is minimal, the cooking is quick and the flavours are fab. This recipe is a real keeper! Less time in the kitchen, more time on the sofa!
